There were 3 riders who could win the season title of the Global Champions Tour so people knew it would be an exciting final in Doha. Scott Brash, who is the defending leader, has won the season title for the last 2 years and was in the lead at the end of the season. But the British rider and Hello Sanctos got 4 penalties in the first round while his rivals Luciana Diniz (Fit For Fun) and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (Casall ASK) remained clear. Scott made it to the second round but got another 4 penalties so it was game over for him.
Four riders made it to the jump-off and two of them were Luciana and Rolf-Göran. Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani (First Devision) was the first to go and got 8 penalties. Then it was up to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Fibonacci) and she rode a clear and quite fast round. It looked like Rolf-Göran Bengtsson would be faster but at the end he hold back a little and was a bit slower than Meredith. Luciana was last to go and she went for the win. Fit For Fun remained clear in a fast time and won the Grand Prix. This victory also crowned Luciana to the Global Champions Tour winner of 2015. ‘I just want to say thank you‘, an emotional Luciana replied. Scott Brash is second, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson is third.
