Jeroen Dubbeldam wins gold at the FEI European Championships

Jeroen Dubbeldam did it again. Last year he won gold at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy with Zenith SFN. Today this wonderful pair added another medal to that because they won the title at the European Championships in Aachen. Zenith SFN rode five clear rounds this week and had a time fault in the last round which was enough to secure the gold.

Good news for Belgium. After the team disaster and missing out on Rio, Gregory Wathelet kept his cool and rode Conrad de Hus to a second place. We already saw this stallion had a lot of potential at the World Equestrian Games and now he sure has proven he’s rock solid. Let’s just hope he can stay with Gregory until Rio. Bronze was for French rider Simon Delestre and the adorable Ryan des Hayettes. Pénélope Leprévost took the lead in the beginning of the week but she had an off day on Friday. Today she rode two clear rounds which led her to the 4th place.
