Last year the Gothenburg Horse Show was already a special place for Nicola Philippaerts because he won his first World Cup ever in Sweden with Donatella-N. The last two days Olivier and Nicola were performing very well at Gothenburg with some second and fourth places but today they announced some other news from Sweden. Olivier and Nicola have signed a long-term partnership with H&M.
H&M already has a long-term partnership with show jumpers Malin Baryard-Johnsson and Peder Fredricson. Now the Swedish brand chose the 21 years old twin brothers from Belgium. They are often described as future stars of riding and have despite their young age already established themselves as top riders in a globally popular sport. “We are confident that Nicola and Olivier will be great ambassadors for H&M both in and off the saddle. They are future stars but down to earth at the same time, they are full of horsemanship, hard workers, humble and interested in fashion. Olivier and Nicola will be a perfect addition to our H&M team“, says Petra Leijon af Burén, sponsoring manager for show jumping at H&M.
“It´s fantastic to be a part of the H&M team“, says Nicola. “We share the same values such as teamwork and constant improvement. And of course, we share the love of horses and fashion.” Nicola is currently ranked number 55 in the world. He won his first World Cup last year in Gothenburg and got several top ten placings with different horses. Also Olivier, who’s number 43 on the list and went to the World Equestrian Games in Caen last year, is very happy with the partnership. “To be a part of a team with such experienced riders as Malin and Peder is a great opportunity for us. This is also a possibility for us to reach out even more to our fans, as they can follow us through the Facebook page H&M We Love Horses“, Olivier explains.
